Some areas of Taichung City will have 47 hours of water outage or depressurized water supply from 10:00 am on March 21 to 9:00 am on March 23 in response to the construction of the fourth district of Taiwan Water Corporation. According to the Water Resource Bureau of the Taichung City Government, nine water resource recycling centers in Taichung City, including Futian, Shuinan, Wenshan, Buzi, Xinguang, Liming, Shigangba, Harbor of Taichung, and Fengyuan, have quick access connectors for recycled water. The public can use it free of charge after registering with the security offices of the nine water resource recycling centers from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day.

The Water Resource Bureau stated the construction of the fourth district of Taiwan Water Corporation is carrying out three projects, including "connecting the old and new pipes of the Juxing distribution reservoir in Taichung, laying pipelines under the elevated vacated corridor of the Taichung Railway, and connecting the second water delivery pipe project of Liyutan." Some areas of Taichung City will have water outage or decompressed water supply for 47 hours. Nine water resource recycling centers in Taichung City provide recycled water for free, with a daily capacity of approximately 106,700 tons. If citizens need water for landscape irrigation, flushing toilets, floor cleaning, and sprinkling to suppress dust, they only need to bring their own containers or water truck for free use.

The Water Resource Bureau also reminds people that they can use the recycled water from the water resource recycling centers as secondary water for the public and businesses. But it is not yet suitable for direct human contact purposes, such as drinking and washing. The bureau calls on citizens to save water and respond to changes in water conditions throughout Taiwan in advance.
